My Story

When I was 6 years old, my grandfather introduced me to the concept of “whole foods” and intuitive eating. Long before, it was trendy, he showed me how (give a specific example, maybe something he cooked with you). His influence led me to study (name degree program e.g. Nutrition Sciences) and immerse myself in a variety of complementary natural healing practices (Reiki, Mindfulness, Meditation, and Naturopathy). As life went on, I came to appreciate that we do not heal by one method alone and that improving health means integrating a number of practices and taking a whole person approach.

After 20 years of practice as a Clinical Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Educator, I am well versed in traditional nutritional counselling methods and scientific research. My aim is to integrate this knowledge with a holistic approach that also focuses on natural foods, herbal medicine and complementary therapies.

I am a mindfulness enthusiast and draw upon my studies in integrative nutrition, metabolism, hormones, functional medicine and psychology. I believe in eating well and in enjoying the foods you eat. Nutrition and other important aspects of health are assessed to optimize the foundation which your wellness is built upon.
